Sunbeam

If I were a sunbeam,
I would know what to do,
I would seek white lilies,
Which are as soft as jellies,
And raise its dropping head,
By not making them dead,
With my rays,
Which spreads as wide as bays.

If I were a sunbeam,
I would know what to do,
I would shine and shine,
Until eight hours past nine,
Sometimes I see people die,
And also the people who lie,
I wonder why men wander and wander,
Like a gander.
