(You) tell yourselfit
will nevr happen to you
and when it does,
you'll think it's untrue.

(You) tell yourself
to obey your mind
and when you disobey
you act like everything's fine.

(You) tell yourself
to ignore what others say
and when you don't
that one person you'll have to face.

(You) tell yourself
you will stop
and when you're feeling like you're not worth it,
you know that you are not.

(You) tell yourself
to leave everything in the past
but it can only stay there for so long
that it will come back fast.

(You) can tell
yourself a million things,
but to me,
it won't mean a thing.
