Superman Poem by Lance Carthen

Superman

I'll bet it feels so good to fly again
To be free of the pain and earths sin
God made you a very special person
You changed the live's of so many people
Even though at times it didnt seem worth it
To keep going on despite your pain and torment
Setting a way for others to follow
Showing them injury is not the end
That helping others in the future should be the trend
How does it feel to walk
How does it feel to stand up and talk
After nine years I'll bet you still havent stopped
Your now a child in Gods arms
He will love you dearly
You will be free to roam in peace
Forgive the earth of its strange cruelties
Everyone has a destiny in life
But some choose not to take it
Yours was quite glaring
But like the true man that you are
You would not let paralysis deflate it
A man who helped so many
A man who's enemies were so few
Just thinking of you finally being at peace
Made me cry but I now know its what you need
A permanent vacation from pain
Please dont shed any more tears
I hope to meet you in heaven one day
After my end has passed its near
