Sugar Poem by Nomad Omnia

Sugar

Rating: 2.6

I really need some sugar,
And it has to come from you
I really need some sugar,
And only yours will do
I really need some sugar,
But do you need it too?

Your sugar is the sweetest,
It’s fresh, alive and new,
It’s soft and light and golden
It has the summer’s hue,
With scent as deep as clover,
An intoxicating brew.

If you give me sugar,
Then I’ll give back to you
Pure honey of the mountain,
Flavoured for the few
Sharp and clear as morning light
Exploding from the dew.

So will you give me sugar,
For I’ll give back to you?
