Slip Poem by Newo Enec

Slip

I've got a gut feeling
But these shallow words still stick
After a night of drunken fights
I just might let it slip
I may spill the words long meant for ears
For people left behind
I may hide the truth, and, far from truth
'Our' people are all blind
But I'll let you slip
Into me this time
I'll let it slip
Because tonight is truly mine
Beyond my lips where poison lies
I've withheld all we've known
The story behind lovers' eyes
Is one always told alone
But I'll let you slip
Into me this time
Just one sip
Of what is always mine
I'm so sick
Of lonely sleepless nights
And what I do alone with you
Makes dying lose its light
