Read My Mind Poem by Linda Ori

Read My Mind

Rating: 5.0

Abstract thoughts in random pattern
Bouncing off the rings of Saturn -
In a galaxy far, far away;
Some would say 'she's out to lunch! '
Her grape's no longer in the bunch,
One sandwich short of a picnic lunch -
And I say that's OK;
Cause all those thoughts make one smart cookie
This poetess, she ain't no rookie,
All ya gotta do is take one lookie -
She's got her head on straight!
My thoughts, tho' strange, belong to me
But if you're nice, I'll let you see
Just how strange those thoughts may be -
If you dare to read my mind.

LInda, this is a good way to be! ! Swimming with the stream is a bore, running with the flock is way too safe; keep on debunching, bouncing of planetary rings, visiting other star systems and randomising. Just keep on being you. We like you that way - unpredictable and interesting. Energetic, well crafted poem of course as always! ! xx jim

I'm reading some of it through your excellent poetry, which I'm just discovering. This is a smart piece, indeed. t x
