Rain On Me Poem by Ciden Shi

Rain On Me

Raindrops falling from the sky,
Each one echoing a mournful sigh.
A sad and melancholy song,
The rain has been pouring all day long.

The pitter-patter of the rain,
Beating down like endless pain.
Each drop a tear from heaven above,
Crying for lost and lonely love.

The rain keeps falling, never ceasing,
Its endless melody never easing.
Each drop a symbol of a broken heart,
That has been shattered apart.

The rain is a reminder of sorrow,
A darkness that will last until tomorrow.
Its melancholy song a mournful tune,
A reminder of the sadness that will come soon.

So I sit and listen to the rain,
Its sad and lonely refrain.
Wondering if the sun will ever shine,
Or if the rain will be with me for all time.
