Push Poem by Daniel Trevelyn Joseph

Push

Pressures, timelines
Are great blessings; make one read,
Take up, write, do and even finish:
With them, a catharsis -
Of compression of vacancy takes place.

Today I am returning
Seamus Heaney to Brit Council Library.
Why did he delet “the worm of your thought”?
Left hemisphere dominates, perhaps,
When the end is near.

No deadline, and
A few more days, weeks, even months,
Would pass: one ends up with fines.
