Phonecall Poem by Anna Osipova

Phonecall

Rating: 4.5

I was standing there
Feeling my despair
In the solid air
Of the dusty hall.
Everything was quiet,
I was almost dying
After all this trying
To achieve my goal.
Pressing the receiver
Tight against my ear
All that I could hear
Was a busy beep…

On the other end
With a phone in hand
Dialing again
He was calling me…
