Perfect Day Poem by Abdimajid Abdisamed

Perfect Day

I woke up to a bright and shiny day
Start everyday in an interesting way
Off to school with the best of friends
With the latest fads and newest trends
When I’m at school I get all the best
I might even ace my spelling test
I look out the window; I see birds and bees
Flower gardens and amazing trees
The sky’s so blue and clouds so white
The sun in the sky looks so bright
I’m wearing clothes that look so cool
All the girls at school will drool
Lunchtime comes; I drive my car
Take my friends somewhere far
At the restaurant we eat our hearts out
Pay the check, what rich is all about
I get to school one hour late
No one cares; they think I’m great
After school I play basketball
Easy dunks; I’m so damn tall
No one cares if they lose to me
Glad to play me, can’t you see
At a different party every night
To dance with me, all the girls fight
At the party you hear onomatopoeia
Burping and farting like you have diarrhea
When I get home, my friends do my work
If they do it wrong, I stab ‘em with a fork
When I play my super game
I get all my achievements, which brings me fame
I go to sleep in my bed
The complete truth is all that I’ve said
