One Good Turn Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

One Good Turn

One good turn deserves another,
But stay on your side of the street.
Be sure to follow the arrows.
It's the pointy end directing me.

One good turn deserves another.
So I spun around a second time.
But that only made me dizzy,
Landing on this big fat rear of mine.

One good turn deserves another,
When the road ahead just stops.
Sleeping while your wife is driving,
Opening a door to cliffs and rocks.

One good turn deserves another,
When you receive a helping hand.
If you will learn to pay it forward,
Then you have found your promised land.
