Oblivious Poem by Niamh Gold

Oblivious

Are you oblivious,
To the fact I have a heart too?
Do you even know my name?
It doesn't seem it.
Isn't it blatant that I want to be,
More than just your mate?
More than your pathetic alternative,
Your second choice.
Do you ever spare a thought for me?
Is it all too hard to see?
I'm sick of being used,
Tired of my heart being abused.
Can't you see the real me?
No.
I thought as much.
