No Love Poem by Christopher Cofield

No Love

Rating: 5.0

Is love so blind or merely that impressionable, that I should have fallen helplessly in love with you? The arrow that pierced my heart, drawn by the hand of cupid gave me a bewildered sense of love. But that angel who cut through my soul, was a demon from hell commissioned by you. You had me completely. I came willingly. Perfection in a singular human being, all that any man could ever want, that’s what you were to me. In my wildest dreams I thought I would never come to know a fairytale love like ours. But that fairytale suddenly changed, becoming one of a grim nature. You have smothered the flames of love in my soul and left me barren, stripped bare with no love to call my own. And it is now that I realize – I have no love for you.
