New Stuff Poem by Kyrsten Gaddis

New Stuff

It's been about a year,
Since I've written here.
Alot has changed
Since this box has been chained.
New town,
It makes me frown.
New school,
Not so cool.
New house,
I feel like a mouse.
New friends,
Old ones with untied ends.
New family,
Hard to say I'm happy.

I put on a face and pretend,
I'm happy, is the message I send
No matter what I'm told,
I get a scold.
Things began to go downhill,
But I never let anything spill.
I tried to believe,
That I could be,
What I wanted people to see.
I'm learning now,
That's not how
things go down.
But, the more I frown,
The more I feel down.
