Never Be The Same Poem by Madeline Fazio

Never Be The Same

Things will
Never
be the same

All the hopes I had for us,
Endless nights
College parties
Freedom and the promise of tomarrow

All the dreams have now been shattered,
We will not grow together,
and neither will our kids

You are now tied down forever,
forced to grow up too fast
It will never be the same for us

When you chose not to use protection
You chose a life of sleepless nights
And a lost era

You chose to be a mother now,
But I chose to stay a kid
