Being near you is like feeling the rain upon my face
Being near you is like the first wind of spring’s warmth
Being near you is like being whole when before I was empty
Being near you is like my heart is being cut out because
I know that I will never have you for myself
How do you feel when you’re around me
Do you feel the same when you’re around me
No, you don’t, do you
It’s because you already have someone
And I can never take that persons place in your life
So I will watch you be happy while I will be sad
As long as you’re happy, I’ll have a smile knowing
That I can be near you
As long as you’re happy
