Mlk Poem by Richard Jarboe

Power put me here,
Power got me living in fear,
Power's got me under control,
Power shaking up my soul.

Breaking my heart,
Power keeping us apart,
Breaking up our home,
Power's got me alone.

But I still dream,
I still dream,
Thank God Almighty,
We're free at last.

"I might not get there with you, "
Is something that he said,
Somehow the Reverend knew,
Soon he would be dead,

But his dream is our dream,
Praise him and sing,
Won't you help me dream the dream,
Of Martin Luther King?

Free at last, free at last,
Thank God Almighty free at last.
