Misery Poem by Winter Raine

Misery

I can see you standing there
A smile on your handsome face
Your eyes are staring back at me
Your mind in a different place.

Of what must you be thinking
To sit and look so coy?
Are you thinking of her again
Is it she that brings you joy?

When you lay in bed with me
Is it her you are longing for?
I have given my life to you
How can you need any more?

I'm afraid to let you walk away
What will our families say?
It must be I who has failed you
I pick misery-one more day.
