Million Miles Away Poem by joseph short

Million Miles Away

Rating: 5.0

I was lying in bed,
Thinking about the last time I held you,
And wondering when it will happen again,

I hate how far apart we are,
Even though it’s only a short drive,
It still feels like a million miles away,

Because I can’t hold on to you,
Each and every moment of the day,
I just want to be able to kiss you,

I hate how far apart we are,
Even thought it’s only a short drive,
It still feels like a million miles away,

And then, there are those days,
When we finally get to see each other,
I have been waiting for that day to come again,

When I can wrap my arms around you,
And hold you tight right where you belong,
And I can kiss you when I want too,

I hate how far apart we are,
Even though it’s a short drive,
It still feels like a million miles away,

But when we get to see each other next,
I will show you all my love in the world,
Because love is what I have for you,

And you are the only one I love this way,
I really don’t know how to describe it,
But it is always going to be this way, my love for you,

I hate how far apart we are,
Even though it’s a short drive,
It still feels like a million miles away,

As I drift to sleep,
Thinking of when we will live together,
And it doesn’t seem, like we’re that far apart.
