Memories Of Love Poem by Connie Wine

Memories Of Love

As long dark lashes flutter down
like a feather gently touching her face
a single tear dropp falls

A flower held lightly against her cheek
while thoughts filled with sadness
float through her mind

Remembering the times this room
held laughter and joy
and her love was beside her

Gone now are the times
he held her with arms of sun kissed warmth
and kissed her with lips of fiery passion

All that remains are memories
captured inside her heart
forever to be trapped in her soul
