Megalomania Poem by Aiden Florence

Megalomania

Rating: 4.0

The concept of fashion is so pathetic
Even screaming doesn’t make things gorgeous enough
Just to let the breathe take away
The concept of rivalry amongst the beauty
Makes consensus feel so meaningless

The simplest desires are brought to life
To paint the portrait of perfection
Just to block reality from mutilation
To get a sense of feel for fantasy

The concept of love is so pathetic
Even screaming doesn’t make things better than ever before
Just to let a kiss purloin every heart you break
The concept of integrity amongst the emotion
Makes elegance another hopeless desire

The simplest idealizations are devouring everything
To romanticize the beauty of salvation
Just to feel alive in the conviction-less society
To feel the presence of megalomania

It must be difficult to pretend like the beautiful
Even screaming doesn’t make things different inside
Just to conceal the sense of hollowness
It must be so difficult to know that your life’s full of nothing
Makes megalomania so much more tragic and scarce
