Mechanical Man. Poem by Christina Simmons

Mechanical Man.

Rating: 2.5

Like a thief in the night
He stole my heart
And run away
Not once looking back
To see if I'm OK

Behaving like the rat
In the garden
I guess he's lived
To his Arian trait
Hitler taught him a trick or two

Ruthless he must be
Heartless maybe
Like a computer
Mechanical machine
An invention invented by man

Possibly a guy like him
So he too
Could have a companion
That's no longer the dog

Don't worship - treating like your idol
Caused likely to let you down - not your one and only
After all I'm just A MAN

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was inspired after a man I had a brief encounter with left my life as suddenly as he came. The poem says it all.
