Makes No Difference Poem by Caroline Guedes

Makes No Difference

I know if I call you, you won't answer
but yet your phone number is the only one in my head
It makes no difference if I pick up the
reciever. The ring tone will only sound dead

If, by chance of direction, I stumble across
your road, I know not to knock on your door
It makes no difference if I bang until my knuckles bleed
I know you don't live there anymore

I know better than to expect to see your face
when I'm walking down my favourite trail
It makes no difference if I walk back and forth
all night and day waiting without fail

I know it shouldn't matter if I cry on your grave
I know you're not really there
It makes no difference if I envision you beside me
It's too late to tell you how much I care

I know it's too late to be your one and only
It doesn't matter how much I pray and cry
Nothing's going to bring you back to me now
It makes no difference anymore to try

That was so beautiful, besides the comment of the technical mumbo jumbo from cynozur.. Your poetry really hit home.. you opened up your heart and let it do the writing.. I have no words to express by reading this I understand the language of your heart..nothing weird but a mutual understanding.. keep writing! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
