Low Life Poem by Mark Normand

Low Life

Rating: 4.8

I lie here on the bottom looking for
new life.
I'll find one for the taking, if I have
to wait all night.
I feed on souls of those I see, who
never will believe.
In things so deep and hidden, things we
must have faith to see.
I'll give them all the truth they need,
and fill them full of pride.
I make sure all the truth is real, even
if I have to lie.
What matters is the here and now, satisfy
your lustful wanting.
Forget about those empty words from
judgement speakers taunting.
Just do your thing and don't ask why,
there's no reason to feel sad.
For all we know they have it wrong,
and hell really ain't so bad.
