Regret

Something that's been eating away at my soul
The life I took away
The one I never got to hold
The life of a story never told
A life never lived
A mistake I can't forgive
Still struggling to come to terms with
A void that can't be filled
A mistake with no corrections
My insides just so still
A choice due to fear
Confused, it was just me here
No shoulder to cry on
Trying my hardest to remain strong
Saddened and pained
Taking away the very life who's blood ran through my veins
