Long Way Home Poem by Pik Kwan Lam

Long Way Home

Whisper upset me along sparkling stones,
as i was alone on way farther from home.

Everything visible is empty, invisible rusty.

I fogged by a daze to reach the path,
and the weeping wind chases my broken-half,

All the way disrupted by an signal tells,
he is not coming back from anywhere else.

Tonight my love ended in dell.

I like the conflict created by 'invisible rusty, ' as it adds to the upset meaning of the work. This is one of those rare pieces that are beautiful in a quiet way, while still telling of something upsetting or disturbing. That was done very well, and you deserve praise for managing something so difficult.
