Lies Poem by Kiersten Reilly

Lies

Rating: 5.0

Those untrue words,
Small but mean everything,
In shadows they lurk,
Your perfect lies,
Hiding from the light of truth.
They start small and harmless,
Created without second thought.
But harmless they are not,
For they multiply,
And spread like disease,
They grow inside you and
Blacken your soul,
Rupture you heart,
And taint your mind.
They make you believe,
That they are truth,
You've fallen so far,
The black hole of your lies
You've created have taken you in,
Made you, yourself a lie,
All that you are,
Your identity,
All because,
You told him,
And yourself,
You didn't love him...
