Keep The Faith Poem by Monte Harris

Keep The Faith

Rating: 5.0

It’s An Uphill Battle Threw These Struggling Waters
Given Commandments To Abide But Who Obeys These Orders
Life Has Become A Task, As Reality Plays Against You
Swimming Up Life’s Waterfall
As The Waves Of Life Crashes Against You

In A World Of Darkness, Are We Truly Blind
No Daylight Of Any Kind, To Recycling The Hands Of Time
Now The Flowers Won’t Grow, And The Sun Won’t Shine
The Only Picture Of Light, Are The Pictures In Our Minds
Only Darkness Is Prevalent, Till The Day We Are Given Light
A New Beginning Has Begun, Like A Blind Man Given Sight

We All Strive For Achievements, To One Day Reach Our Goals
Playing The Dating Game Of Life, Unaware Of What The Future Holds
Destine To Become The Successor, In This Day To Day Race
Fulfilling This Mission Called Life, As We Hold On To Our Faith

So You Say Life Is Tough, And You Haven’t Had A Fair Chance
Your Struggles And Misfortunes, Caught Up In Life’s Avalanche
You’re Condemned If You Do, You’re Doomed If You Don’t
You’re Damned If You Could, You’re Cursed Because You Won’t

Confliction And Hardships, Is What Life Has Come To Be
So I Watch My Surroundings, So Life Doesn’t Close In On Me
Living Beyond The Darkness, The Persecution Of My Own Reality
Walking Life’s Tunnels, Unaware Of What’s Jumping Out At Me

My Soul’s An Open Door, As Life Just Come And Take
Leaving Me With Nothing More, Than My Investment In Faith...
