Jolene Poem by Aron Heroux

Jolene

Rating: 5.0

Through the glass, snow falls
silently on the city below
Snow falls, but time
-time has stopped long ago

A warm breath stirs me
from a waking dream
I touch her face
her skin like cream

I kiss soft lips and
stare into eyes blue
-mirrors of the sky
that pierce me through

The sounds of the city
seem so far away
Whispers urge me to go
but my heart wants to stay
