Isolation Poem by Velvet Thorn

Isolation

Separate
Apart
Alone
Too smart

Different
Seeing
Wanting
Bleeding

Contrasting
Aligning
Opposing
Defining

Blackness seeps through my essence
Infiltrates me with darkness, defines me
Contrasts with the patchwork of colors around me,
Then evaporates
I disintegrate into invisible dust.
