* Irresistible Poem by Paul Holmes

* Irresistible

Rating: 2.1

A tiny fist
Uncurls,
Reaching out
It grasps a finger;
Holding on
Not letting go,
It senses security.

Warm smiles
Generate more smiles
And joy
Begets more joy.

Can a man
Resist the searching fingers
Of a babe in arms?
Is his heart
So callous and cold
As not to feel
An irresistible urge
To welcome
A child into this world?

There is something about a baby that makes you want to smile. The innocence and the purity. A lovely poem which says so much.
