Into The Fire Poem by S. Nichalous King

Into The Fire

Passions challenged on the basis of circumstance
Does one carry on in the face of despair?
Dare to take the chance?

Put on trial by the course of life
Thrust into the forging fire
Quenched and hardened by strife

When surrounded by darkness
It's hard to see the sunshine
For being one less

With time comes healing
The recession of pain, retention of memory
A return to feeling
