I’m letting ‘whatever’
off my chest
and do my best
in this life
forgetting the rest

chief blame falls on chance
starting romance
loveless and unfaithful
its so blithe
in random occupation
drawing in
till bursting loose
creating, heating - cooling
as it runs away
from itself
its free

so we play on truth
while lies live couth
loving and deceptive
we’re so odd
missing the life, but living
growing old
then going cold
in peace, leaving - pleasing
though some run away
from themselves
still free

on our chance of soil
down descends foil
vicious and affective
foe as wraith
how can a soul sense faith
fearing fear
of insurrection
