I See You. Poem by leo conway

I See You.

I see you there
I see you here
All I can see is you
I see you in the day
I see you in the night
All I can see is you
I see you in the mirror
Looking back at me
And I ask
Why did you have to go
It wounds me every time when
I don’t see you when I wake up
You were always there
But not anymore

It seems like an eternity
Since I’ve seen you
But you are all I think about
Day after day
Night after night
Nothing but you
Nothing but you
But I try to go on
But with out you
It seems like I can’t
And the only thing I can smell
Is the spilled oil
And the alcohol
On his breath

Are you happy
Where you are at
I wish I was as happy
As you must be
No more pain
And worry
He, the one who
took you away
Will never be as happy
As you are
I will make sure of that
One day, I hope
I will join you in
The golden city of heaven
