I Remember You



I will remember you,
When the night is dark,
When my blessings
Are tucked into warm beds.

I will remember you,
As I lay down to sleep...
And it's only then,
When I shall weep.

For in the light of day,
I wear the mask,
Of a deceptive smile.

And in the dark of night
As I lie there alone in the stillness
I remember you...
