I Do It For You Poem by Flem Combs

I Do It For You

I speak on behalf of a people who need protection.
Hence I build toys, stockpiling them in toy boxes.
The toys of my foes must not bring them harm.
I look for the time when I can play with my toys.
In time I will. When it is in my interest to do so.
As well as the interest of a people.
Little green men with guns. Only a few good ones.
Weapons of war! Toys for the protection of a people.
They will accept what I say, if said enough times.
I am right, our foes wrong. So let's slaughter them.
Then rejoice in our guilt. Confetti in the streets.
While the superiors of the green men smile and wave.
You must trust and follow me so our foes won't do this.
You are a people and I speak on your behalf.
I will answer your questions. Tickling your ears.
Then a voice speaks out,
'But what if no one follows you or your foes? "
My foes and I then shot him in protection of a people.
