I Couldn'T Love You More Poem by Linda Harnett

I Couldn'T Love You More

Rating: 5.0

The setting sun sinks softly in the sea,
The water gently lapping on the shore,
There’s no one in this place but you and me,
And no one’s ever shared this space before,

And God, if he exists, must surely be,
Benevolently smiling on this scene,
Encapsulated in the sky and sea,
For He and only He, knows where He’s been,

And in the golden glow that lights your eyes,
A light that shines forever in your soul,
I see a love that holds me mesmerised,
And I am only one half of the whole.

I hear the water lapping on the shore,
And realise, I couldn’t love you more.
