I Can'T Help It Poem by Holly Somer

I Can'T Help It

I see you in the door way
with your jet black hair
I try to hide my crush
though I can't help but stare
you look at me and smile
I blush and turned away
You opened up your mouth
But forgot what to say

I can't help and wonder
how long it will be till you come up and talk to me
People would say were not that cute
Soon it will be the preppy girl that gets the boot

I can't help it
I want to know
How you feel about me
If were headed somewhere
or did I give the wrong impression and make you annoyed

It's those fairy tale intentions that I could avoid
Writing his name in my notebook
Numer 17
I know it sounds a little mean
Give me a break I'm just a teen

I have yet to learn
who isn't right for me
But going for it is what the answers are telling me
