Going All The Way Poem by Ian Bowen

Going All The Way

Her face now hot and red
sat above an
excited body.
Beads of sweat had formed
and run down the cleavage
of her soaking shirt.
Hair dishevelled and raggedy
fell around her aching shoulders.
She had now reached
the climax of her goal
as her glazed eyes
stared into mine.

She then lowered her head...

to see that marathon medal,
hanging from her neck.
