Fat Poem by Dennis Walker

Fat

I am fat I know I am
Do I care? no I don’t give a damn
I am happy with what I see
Pleased with everything about me
Do I care what people say? Not at all
Life is good I am having a ball
Stop eating exercise I hear them say
I enjoy my food I enjoy my play
I raise a glass to my life so fine
I will worry about my weight some other time

I'm Glad to see More like you and me Who enjoy the daily feed Far beyond their actual need. What we need is to find A reason so obvious or sublime Why some stay thin And others just can't seem to win. Is it in inheritance Or just some mysterious game of chance? Perhaps science will never know But theories abound, Heaven knows. In the meantime, raise your glass on high For the grim reaper's coming nigh, And drink a toast to the presence Of larger waste (waist) lines held in evidence.
