Fallen Angel Poem by Sakib Choudhury

The flowing crimson river is finally contained
Due to the special power given to you
By some higher being incomprehensible
To the mind of us mere mortals

You are truly my fallen angel
descended upon me with a bright light
That brings warmth to my mind body and soul

never before has there been anybody unmatched
For your beauty can bring any man to his knees
as for your wisdom and intelligence would battle
The great philosopher Gallileao himself
Even in your heart there is no malice or ill will
Towards any other creature living or dead

Though you have been cast out
Of a place considered to be heaven
It took you onto a path that saved me
From heading to a dark place
cold and isolated from anybody but me

I often find myself pondering about
What lead you to find this damned soul
For I dont even deserve a strand of your hair
But alas my fortune has changed for the better
Because you bring me peace and tranquility

Now I see that our paths are now one
Both looking for some form of redemption
Destined to find it along side one another
So that when the time comes and we
Stand at the gates of heaven themselves
We shall be allowed to enter hand in hand
