Dry Land Poem by Tamara Turner

Dry Land

Rating: 4.0

Perpetually drifting in a uphill battle
I'm in the middle of ocean but I can still
hear the rattles.
I never knew a snake could travel this far.
Im so used to being on dry land with fast moving cars.
My heart race as i try to paddle the boat. But im not no match something latched on to the boat.
Then with a jolt the boat stopped i threw down my paddle in frustration.
I thought well this is the end.
I hope it'll be quick.
Before i knew it, everythung around me beginned to shift.
Then before i knew it, I was back in my bed again.
Laying next to my stuffed animal Valentine who sometimes feels like my only friend
