Drowning Poem by San Antonio Can! High School

Drowning

Rating: 5.0

She’s screaming out loud.
The water is out of control.
She cannot escape.

Nothing can stop it.
Her world is spinning really fast.
She tries to break free.

The waves pound on her.
She is crashed against the rocks.
The pain is intense.

She’s slowly drowning.
The waves are pulling her down.
She cannot breathe now.

It is all over.
Her screams have faded away.
She’s lost in darkness.

Norma, this is a very dark, sad poem about death with no one to help, so may I suggest that you read one that I wrote along the same line, ANOTHER LIFE. Keep writing, you are doing well! Scarlett
