Dim Poem by Taher Shemaly

Dim

Rating: 5.0

dim lights, dim street
and dim hearts walk along
deaf ears, deaf walls
and a world of not a song
grey matter of no color
quiet, no right or wrong

sleep or awake
calm or a quake
flying or wingless
a spirit so hopeless
here or there
any time, any where

but when a ray comes
from a sun or a moon that is
bring your cup and enjoy
the game of the sweet bless
and give a smile away
now or then, with carelessness

walk around O wanderer
walk and give a smile so slim
smile and live, take or give
smile amid the faces so grim
though it is heavily dark
though it might be so dim
