Death Row Poem by Alexander Foald

Death Row

Here is the end of everything
Of the long last time of my journey
Tears won't come out of my way
As we walk through the door

I would not regret the failures in my life
Wouldn't take the burden of my mistakes
Since there never be any forgiveness
And I don't think I would get one

I would not look back on the way
Of who I was and what I did
Since there's no return to my past
And I don't think I could just go back

I would not remember my last memory
Which could be the most composing moment
Since there will be no memory of our last day
And I don't think I want to keep one in my head

I would not be grieved or reminded of
There will be no one to cry over me
Since I don't have anyone to befriend with
And I don't think I could ask one right now
