Daniel Poem by Jeff Fleischer

Daniel

Rating: 4.6

Cast into the lion's den.
How hungry they must have been.
They had not eaten in days.
The fierceness of their roar.
Licking their chops.
Sharpening their teeth on the stones.
Oh a sumptuous meal he would be.
Ready for the attack, the kill.
They moved toward him ready to pounce.
All of the sudden they stopped.
Frozen, stuck in a trance.
Tame as little cats.
He never saw them.
He only saw faith in his Maker.
The only defense he needed.
