Crazy Game Poem by nicholas gannon

Crazy Game

Rating: 5.0

The day that she walked by
I felt like I could fly
Never did I think
That I could be her guy
My mind was in the sky
And, I felt obliged
To tell her how good she looked
Never to think that I
Would take her on a date
That date came too late
She dated this other guy
I felt like I wanted to die
Their relationship was a lie
I don’t know how I got by
But somehow I survived,
We ran into each other
She was with her mother
Shopping for some food
With, their step-brother
Finally I said hi
She looked away from my eyes
Couldn’t picture her being shy
But she was shy, and I
Ended up taking her on a date
That very next night
The first one led to the next
She loved all of my texts
Made her feel like the best
She put the rest to shame
This love thing is a game
That miracle day came
Her wedding dress was very plain
Next day we were on a plane
The honey moon wasn’t lame
Full of fun, and
Under the sun, and
Happily ever after
Us and our two sons
