I knew the rules yet I cared less
My heart was cursed yet I felt blessed
Was she here for real or was it just a test?
I knew she was the guys' lady, but I was her best.

In her absence, she was my heartbeat
In her presence, I became her glory seat
Her words were rules which my heart respected
And her arm is a rehab where my faults were corrected.

Am I in love or practically diseased?
Is this an infection or just a bruise?
I need the answer, I need to know
Tell me she loves me as I love her too.
