Come Home Poem by Seamus Shaneous

Come Home

Rating: 5.0

I can’t believe you’re gone
You’ve left me for a year
Without your eyes, I’m going blind
I’m blurring from all the tears

I wish to see you smile
I can’t see you for some time
I know we went our separate ways
If I say I’m happy, I must be lying

I wish I could take it all back
I’ve let it get this way
I’ll never love the same again
It’s the price I have to pay

I think of you when my mind is clear
You’re all that keeps me thriving
You are like the world to me
Without you there’s no surviving

You were the start of my poetry
I wrote it when feeling blue
Now it comes so naturally
The feeling is my love for you
