Collision Poem by Jo Lynn Ehnes

Collision

While gliding high above this weary world,
a roving soul collides head-on with mine.
At once my claws, retracted, are unfurled;
instead of battling, though, our hearts entwine.

I fall, entranced, within his mystic gaze
as deep blue eyes are mirrors of my own.
His magnetism holds me in a daze
and lands me on an isle where I've not flown.

He gently lays me down upon the sand
and whispers sultry words into my ear.
My trembling spirit craves his firm command
as waves of ecstasy are drawing near.

A billow of delight engulfs this shore
while lost within a wandering caress.
A treasure chest of gems our hands explore,
unleashing all the passions we possess.

A river of enchantment warms this beach
as ripples of enjoyment swell within.
The rhythm of this surge will help us reach
the tidal height where rapture's never been.

Two pleasured souls ascend back to the sky
where winds of fate collided on this night.
Apart they'll drift until the other's cry
returns them to these shores to reunite.
